Children’s Health Foundation of Vancouver Island has invested in the health of Island kids for 96 years with a mission to ensure all Island families have access to the health care they need, when and where they need it the most. Thanks to the generosity of donors, our Bear Essentials program provides direct assistance to families for health-related travel and specialized equipment for their children, and our homes-away-from-home, Victoria’s Jeneece Place and Campbell River’s Qwalayu House, provide subsidized accommodation and a warm and compassionate welcome for families of children in adjacent hospitals or receiving critical health care at other facilities in those communities.
