PADS breeds, raises and trains fully certified Assistance Dogs for work with people who have physical disabilities (Service Dogs), hearing loss (Hearing Dogs), or who work in community care roles such as victim services staff, teachers, or health care workers (Accredited Facility Dogs).
In addition to the physical, social, and emotional support our dogs offer to their partners, they also provide life-changing independence. Assistance dogs don’t just help their partners with tasks, they also provide a sense of connection, build self-confidence, and provide companionship.
Every single dog is placed at no cost to the client. PADS funds the estimated $35,000 cost to support an assistance dog through training to retirement with private donations, sponsorships and grants.
PADS is proud to be a fully accredited member of Assistance Dogs International.
