The Fire Fighters Burn Fund is supported by firefighters from Victoria, and the Dept. of National Defense, nurses, health care support workers and community professionals. The Fund supports the prevention and treatment of burn injuries and includes the purchase of medical equipment for the Burn Unit at the Royal Jubilee Hospital, patient and family support and burn prevention programs in the community. The Burn Fund helped Sponsor B.C.’s first Burn Camp for children and has first burn survivor support groups. Promotes awareness: Burn Awareness Week, Fire and Burn Safety House, Books for children, Educational materials, a peer support group to assist burn survivors and their families. We have the only “Burn House” that houses out-of-town burn survivors family members, free of charge!!
