President & CEO: Susan Mullin. Located in Halifax, Nova Scotia, the QEII is the largest research and academic health sciences centre in Atlantic Canada, occupying 10 buildings on two sites. It serves as a community hospital, as well as a specialized care centre for the Atlantic provinces for areas like heart surgery, cancer treatment, neurosurgery and organ transplantation. The QEII Foundation supports all aspects of patient care at the QEII through innovative health care programs, the purchase of medical equipment and the establishment of endowed research chairs. Together with donors, the QEII Foundation has strengthened and advanced health care for QEII patients.
